Sample Submission

Samples sent to us without properly completed paperwork increase the chances of delay in scheduling your testing.   All samples submitted should be accompanied by a sample submission form (either our Printable Sample Submission Form which can be included with the samples or emailed to us at; or you may download our Online Sample Submission Form which should be completed using Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Reader, and submitted to us prior to shipping of samples).

Please include: test methods, specifications, times and temperatures, or any other information necessary to complete testing as well as complete contact information.   If you need help please email or call us at 973-579-3448 and someone will assist you.

Turnaround times will vary, given current availability of personnel, test equipment, and prior commitments for rush work.   We cannot guarantee turnaround times in every instance, but we promise to do our very best to meet your needs.  

If you have need of turnaround by a specific date, please email or call the laboratory at 973-579-3448 to discuss this, prior to receiving a quotation or sending samples to us.


Unbreakable containers are preferred when possible, but if glass containers are used (poly coated recommended) they should be shipped with adequate packaging material.  Double packaging is best.  Lids should be firmly sealed and taped.  Grease samples should NOT be packaged in plastic bags.  Packages may be returned if the integrity of the sample is damaged during shipping.  Materials containing lead, chlorine or any other components restricted in the United States will be assessed additional disposal charges.  Recommended sample quantities are provided to reduce waste.  Excessively large samples will incur a $5.00 per kg handling and disposal fee.


In order to avoid additional charges due to the need for a courier through customs, a carrier that will deliver directly to our lab should be used. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) or Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Toxic Substance Control Act forms (TSCA) should be attached to the outside of the package as well as all required paperwork for international shipping.  Please check with your carrier to determine what information is required.


A Method of Payment must accompany all samples submitted.

Purchase Order: Net 30 days. You must include this information with your samples unless other arrangements have been made. If you are a new client please supply us with current credit references including fax numbers. Credit will be given upon approval. Purchase Orders are not accepted from companies outside the United States, except companies that have an established account. Processing fees will be required for checks not from a U.S. Bank in U.S. Dollars.

Credit Cards: We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express. Please submit card number, card holders name, phone number and expiration date to us. You may submit this information by fax, phone, email, or with your samples.  For maximum security we suggest you call us and submit credit card information by phone.

Wire Transfer: If you choose to make a wire transfer you will be contacted with our bank information after your samples have arrived. You will be responsible for all bank fees.
